Friday, Dec. 13. 28-1/2 miles. We waited at Sohag this morning until 9:30 for mail and provisions. Stopped within 4 miles of Balliana at 6 P.M. A good wind, a heavenly day. The nights too, with the young moon and the resplendent Venus, are wonderful.
